International Guarantee

Your Montegrappa writing instrument is an original product, made and tested to the highest standards of manufacture, and guaranteed for 24 months from the date of purchase against any manufacturing or material defect (the “Guarantee Period”).

Montegrappa undertakes to repair or replace any Montegrappa product or part deemed defective under the terms of the International Guarantee. Products returned during the Guarantee Period will be repaired free of charge. Repairs to products returned outside the Guarantee Period and/or found to be defective for reason other than manufacturing or material defect may be subject to a service charge.

In cases where it is not possible to repair any defect or damage, we reserve the right to offer a replacement product of identical or similar characteristics.

To benefit from the International Guarantee, scan the Guarantee Activation QR Code located at the rear of this manual following purchase. You will be redirected to our Guarantee Centre, where you can register your name and details against your product.

In the event of a return, service will be expedited by supplying the QR code together with your product. Failure to properly activate the International Guarantee or to supply proper documentation may void your rights under the International Guarantee. 

To obtain service, contact Elmo & Montegrappa S.p.A. or your nearest authorised Montegrappa dealer for instructions on how to return your product. Contact details can be found at montegrappa.com. Please do not ship products without prior arrangement.

Only Elmo & Montegrappa S.p.A. and authorised Montegrappa dealers may provide service under the International Guarantee. Products and parts found to be defective for any of the following reasons are specifically excluded:

1. Defects or damage caused by loss, theft, fire or other extraneous act;
2. Defects or damage resulting from misuse, negligence or accident;
3. Defects or damage caused by improper use (impact, crushing, immersion, etc.), alterations, tampering, dismantling, or services and repairs completed by anyone other than an authorised Montegrappa dealer;
4. Defects or damage caused by direct exposure to sunlight and/or high temperatures;
5. Defects or damage caused by regular wear and tear;
6. Products whose identifying numbers or marks have been tampered with or removed.

EXTENDED GUARANTEE

To extend the Guarantee Period by an additional 12 months, apply to join the Montegrappa Roll of Honour.

As a member of an exclusive community of aficionados and connoisseurs, you will receive notifications of Montegrappa news and new releases, while benefitting from a complimentary additional year of International Guarantee service for the writing instrument purchased.

INTERNATIONAL REPAIR GUARANTEE

Every Montegrappa writing instrument carries a 12-month international guarantee for any repair performed by Elmo & Montegrappa S.p.A. or authorised Montegrappa dealer.

This repair guarantee is independent of the International Guarantee issued at the time of purchase, and is restricted to the repaired component, subject to the exclusions previously set out.
