The project also expresses a profound ethical and environmental responsibility, having been conceived as a tool to raise awareness of the climate crisis and in alignment with the values of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. The symbolic references integrated into the design—from the family of polar bears on a small ice floe, emblematic of the fragility of Arctic ecosystems, to the white cap evoking the Polar Circle, the thermometer-inspired clip featuring a white topaz symbolizing the North Star, and the body symbolically oriented upward—transform the pen into a message of collective awareness and responsibility toward future generations.

The awarding of the Good Design® Award 2025 confirms the central role of Italian design on the international stage and highlights the value of the synergy between contemporary design, sustainability, and manufacturing expertise.

Life Pen will be exhibited in Athens as part of the Good Design Show 2025–2026, offering an international showcase for the dialogue between design, tradition, and environmental responsibility.
