Luxor
Print Send To A Friend
It bears the name of the monumental complex erected by Amenophis III, one of the highest expressions of the Egyptian artistic splendour. Luxor Blue Nile is a fountain pen, in limited edition, with which Montegrappa recalls the mysteries of ancient Egypt and the fascination of one of the most advanced and artistically inclined civilisation in antiquity. The major symbols of the great civilisation of the Nile are represented on the decoration of the body and of the cap: Thot, the god of wisdom, theriomorphic divinity, creator of the hieroglyphic writing and of the winged solar disc, the symbol of the antique ritual of eternal life. The sacred scarab is represented on the top of the cap with two eyes of natural sapphire, as those of the cobra that winds around the clip of the Luxor Blue Nile. The body in blue mother-of-pearl celluloid recalls the Blue Nile, sacred source of life. The gods Horus and Isis attend to the ceremony. Luxor Blue Nile is realized in 1912 pieces in sterling silver and 188 pieces in 18K gold.
