In 1992, precisely eighty years after its foundation, Montegrappa introduced the first limited edition of modern times. A commemorative fountain pen that recalls, with its design and characteristics, the celebrated Reminiscence, a prestigious collection of 1983, of which the new limited edition interprets the classical attributes in a very original manner: the octagonal shape, the characteristic 18K gold nib, the elegant clip with the rotating sphere. A recollection enhanced by the exclusive technique of low-relief engraving, the result of years of research, used here for the first time. The body and the cap are produced with the deep drawing technique, a precious component of Montegrappa?s know-how since its early days. This technique, requiring a great deal of passion and dexterity is further enhanced by a dual production step, carried out exclusively by hand: screw threading of body and cap obtained by material deformation. The first of Montegrappa?s limited editions was available in 1,912 pieces, the number that celebrated the foundation year of the oldest Italian manufacturer of writing instruments. These pens may be available on the collectors market.
