Tribute To Ayrton Senna
Print Send To A Friend
The timeless style of the most classical writing instrument, the charismatic charm of the most loved formula 1 world champion: Ayrton Senna. His memory is tied to intense emotions, historical victories and the overwhelming sense of humanity that the pilot expressed with his constant help for the Brazilian abandoned children. A commitment set forth with the Ayrton Senna Foundation, a charitable association that donates its profits for the realisation of benevolent projects in Brazil. Montegrappa, in collaboration with the foundation, pays tribute to this big champion with a limited edition featuring exclusive details such as the tread of a tyre reproduced in low-relief on the body and on the cap. The clip reproduces the shape of a Formula I racing car, with the pilot in 18K gold. The name of Senna is engraved on the cap. 1,960 pieces, like the year of the champion?s birth, were available as fountain pens and rollerballs in sterling silver. 161, the number of races in which Senna has taken part, were produced in 18K gold. 41, like his victories, was the number of gold rollerballs. Today, the rollerballs in sterling silver remain available. The others pens may be found on the collectors market.
