Montegrappa dedicates its most precious Fine Writing Jewel to mankind's most valuable gift: Peace.

On the occasion of the presentation of this unique “Peace Pen” Montegrappa has associated its name with that of Peace Parks Foundation, a foundation started almost five years ago to facilitate the establishment of transfrontier conservation areas (TFCAs), also called peace parks. The purpose of these parks is to support sustainable economic development, the conservation of biodiversity as well as regional peace and stability. With the Foundation Montegrappa shares the symbol of the dove, which not only adorns the Montegrappa jewel fountain pen, but is also central to the Foundation's logo.

Montegrappa and the internationally renewed artist David Montalto di Frangito chose to create this unique piece made of solid Platinum (950/1000) and decorated with stipple-engraved, Baccarat glass panels and 1259 diamonds, which make a total of 48 carats in all.
The artist has hand-engraved the seven crystal facets with 184 doves using a diamond point. The great attraction of diamond point , technique also called stipple engraving of glass, is that every incision reflects light. Millions of minute points are engraved, with a special tool, onto the surface of the glass and each one diffuses light to a degree dependant on its depth.
